Great Song Lyrics

I was listening to an old CD in the car this morning and it reminded me that there are a few song lyrics that stand out in my mind--most of them have nothing to do with my life or have any particular significance to me, but for some reason they always elicit a different response that all the rest.

So, I'm starting a "great song lyrics" thread...feel free to post any of your favourites...

Here's the one that sparked the thought--it's important to remember that these lines are sung with something a song rarely has--pure sarcasm:

I'm so fucking happy, my life is a dream...a day in Disneyland
I'm so very happy, I just wanna scream...the party never ends

- Sal's Birdland, So Fucking Happy

Some other classics:

And the four right chords can make me cry
- Third Eye Blind, Semi-charmed Life

If you're afraid of getting hurt, you suffer more ills
Like the Hypochondriac who dies choking on his pills
So I should swallow real hard and deal with this pain
'Cause I'm as wasted as a neat freak in a hurricane

- The Odds, Last Drink

I'm sure I'll think of a few more...

Emptiness is lonliness and lonliness is cleanliness and cleanliness is godliness and god is empty, just like me.
